February Update

I've been making quite a bit of art lately! I've mostly been making mail art, but I've done some art journaling, too. The top postcard was made for Jane Davies's campaign to save her local post office. Please check out the project in her blog post, here, and sent her a handmade postcard!

January Update!

On December 20, 2012, I opened an Etsy store called "Green Owl Crochet". Because I've been crocheting so much (usually 2 hours each day), my art-making time/energy has been somewhat limited. Nonetheless, I've still been cranking out some postcards and envelopes for my darling mail art pals.

December Update

Hi all! I hope everyone had a nice holiday. I was alone for Christmas, which was a bummer. I did, however, get some cool gifts, including lots of acrylic paint! Despite having a lot of pain from my fibromyalgia, I've been making a fair amount of art lately. Mostly, I've been making mail art, but I've also been doing some art journaling. I just got five new stencils in the mail today, so I have a feeling that today will be full of artsy goodness! I ordered a Gelli plate (a printing plate) a few nights ago, and I'm very excited for it to get here!

Today, I woke up feeling in the mood to collage. So, I made two postcards and three envelopes. Do you ever wake up in an artsy mood?

In the past week or so, I've made seven postcards that I felt were good enough to send. I also made three or so that I hated so much that I tore up and threw away. Eh... 7/10 ain't bad!

Hi all! Sorry about neglecting my poor blog! I've still been making art... I just haven't been posting it here. I do, however, post most of my work on my Flickr account. I'll post some pics of my most recent art here on my blog, as well. I hope that everyone is having a happy summer!!!

February!

I learned how to crochet last week! So far, I've crocheted three washcloths for Vasya and Sergei (the two orphans I sponsor through An Orphan Smiles). Also, I've been playing in my art journal and gluebook. Sorry for the glare on the pink art journal page!
